Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid had a great night as they edged closer to reaching the quarter-finals of the Champions League. However, it was a different case for Liverpool and Barcelona as they have a lot to work on. Bayern defeated Atalanta 6-1 on Tuesday night despite their top scorer, Harry Kane, missing out from the match.

Kane has 47 goals this season, but unfortunately, he was out of the match. Without Kane, Michael Olise scored two goals. Serge Gnabry, Nicholas Jackson, Josip Stanisic, and Jamal Musiala scored a goal each. Atletico Madrid defeated Tottenham 5-2.

Tottenham coach Igor Tudor's decision to leave out their top goalkeeper, Guglielmo Vicario, proved to be a costly decision as Atletico took a 3-0 lead within the first 15 minutes of the match. Liverpool lost 1-0 to Galatasaray.

They will now have to perform better in the second leg at Anfield next week. Barcelona also struggled, drawing 1-1 against Newcastle thanks to a late penalty from Lamin Yamal.
