The decentralized finance space was rocked by a trader who lost almost $50 million in a token swap via the Aave interface. Now, the protocol has introduced a new measure to ensure that such losses are not incurred in the future.

Meanwhile, investors are on the lookout for the next crypto to explode, and it looks like DeepSnitch AI (DSNT) is the way to go. The project has raised over $2.2 million, with its price rising by over 190% from $0.0151 to $0.04487.

Aave introduces new protection feature after $50M swap incident

Aave announced plans to roll out a new security layer, Aave Shield, following a massive token swap mishap that cost a user $50 million. The platform said the upcoming feature will automatically prevent trades that carry a price impact greater than 25% when users execute swaps through its interface.

The protocol explained that Aave Shield will be enabled by default once launched, meaning traders attempting unusually high-risk swaps will be warned or blocked unless they manually choose to disable the protection.
