In India’s rapidly evolving criminal justice landscape, Kwick Forensic Solutions stands as a testament to the power of technology meeting purpose. What began as a software development venture has transformed into a comprehensive forensic solutions provider, serving law enforcement agencies and forensic laboratories across the country.

Mr. Shammer Shah, Managing Director, shares the compelling story of how his company identified a critical gap in India’s investigative ecosystem and built a business that is now poised for public listing—with an offer price band of ₹85–₹90 and an issue size of up to ₹50.77 crore.

The Technology-Enabled Justice System

What inspired the transition from software development to specialised forensic solutions, starting with India’s Interactive Crime Scene Simulator?

The transition came from a desire to use technology to solve a real-world problem. While working in software, we realised that technology could play a much larger role in strengthening criminal investigation and forensic processes.

That led us to develop India’s Interactive Crime Scene Simulator, which was an early attempt to bring technology and simulation into forensic training. The response and encouragement we received from institutions in the forensic and government ecosystem gave us the confidence that this was a meaningful area to pursue.

What started as an experiment with technology gradually evolved into a much larger vision of building a forensic solutions provider company.

A Multi-Dimensional Business Model

What strengths in Kwick’s integrated model stood out to you during this engagement?

Kwick is not dependent on a single product or a single segment. The company has developed capabilities across forensic science, digital and cyber investigation, evidence collection and management, mobile crime scene solutions, software and proprietary products.

The other important strength is the domain experience accumulated over more than two decades. Kwick understands the practical requirements of law enforcement agencies and forensic laboratories, and that domain knowledge is difficult to replicate quickly.

The combination of domain expertise, technology, relationships and an expanding proprietary product portfolio is what makes the model particularly interesting.

The ‘Make in India’ Advantage

How does Kwick’s ‘Make in India’ focus position the company for the future?

We believe the next phase of Kwick’s growth will increasingly come from moving beyond being a supplier of imported technologies and developing solutions of our own.

Our R&D capabilities allow us to understand the specific requirements of Indian law enforcement agencies and develop products suited to those requirements. This also gives us greater control over the product lifecycle, customisation and, over time, margins.

The long-term objective is to build Indian forensic technologies that can serve not only the domestic market but also have the potential to address international markets.

A Niche Opportunity for Investors

With the offer price band at ₹85–₹90 and issue size up to ₹50.77 crore, what investor interest are you anticipating?

We believe the combination of Kwick’s specialised sector, its growth trajectory and the opportunity emerging in India’s forensic and digital investigation ecosystem will generate meaningful investor interest.

However, we also believe it is important to approach the IPO with the right expectations. Our focus is not simply on the initial response to the issue, but on creating a business that can deliver sustainable growth and value over the long term.

The IPO gives investors an opportunity to participate in a relatively niche sector at a stage where we believe there is considerable room for organised and technology-driven growth.

A Long-Term Journey

What message would you like to share with new investors joining Kwick on this journey?

We want our investors to look at Kwick as a long-term journey rather than just an IPO opportunity.

We have spent more than 20 years building domain expertise, relationships and capabilities in a specialised sector. The listing provides us with the platform to take that foundation to the next level.

Our commitment will be to use the capital responsibly, remain transparent with our stakeholders and continue investing in technology, people and innovation. We want our investors to grow with us as we build Kwick into a recognised forensic solutions provider company.

Transforming India’s Forensic Ecosystem

Looking ahead, what excites you most about Kwick’s potential impact on India’s forensic ecosystem?

What excites us most is the opportunity to be part of the transformation of India’s forensic ecosystem from conventional methods towards scientific, technology-enabled and evidence-based investigation.

The increasing importance of DNA, cyber forensics, digital evidence and scientific crime-scene investigation creates a significant opportunity. Kwick can contribute by providing the equipment, technology, training and solutions required across this ecosystem.

Ultimately, our ambition is much bigger than selling forensic products. We want Kwick to become an enabler of better investigations, stronger evidence and, ultimately, a more effective justice system in India.

The Road Ahead

Kwick Forensic Solutions’ journey from a software development company to a comprehensive forensic solutions provider embodies the entrepreneurial vision driving India’s transformation in criminal justice technology.

With deep domain expertise, a commitment to indigenous innovation, and a mission to strengthen India’s investigative capabilities, the company is positioned to play a pivotal role in the country’s forensic ecosystem.

As India moves toward a more technology-enabled justice system, stories like Kwick’s remind us that the country’s forensic revolution isn’t just about equipment and products—it’s about visionary entrepreneurs identifying critical gaps in the system, building solutions tailored to Indian requirements, and creating businesses that genuinely strengthen the pursuit of justice.

The forensic transformation is here. And for India’s law enforcement agencies and forensic laboratories, companies like Kwick are building the technological backbone of a more effective justice system—one investigation at a time.

India’s forensic ecosystem has just begun its technology-driven transformation, with immense potential waiting to be unlocked. The question isn’t whether this change will happen—it’s how quickly Indian innovators and institutions can work together to make scientific, evidence-based investigation the new standard across the country.
