Amid West Asia Conflict, Lanka Indian Oil Corporation Promises Uninterrupted Fuel Supply
Energy Crisis: Amidst the ongoing conflict in West Asia, the Lanka Indian Oil Corporation has assured Sri Lanka of continued fuel supply and energy security. This assurance comes at a time when Sri Lanka has sought India's cooperation in maintaining the energy supply chain.
The Lanka Indian Oil Corporation (LIOC) has assured Sri Lanka that fuel supplies will continue to be made to the country. This will ensure that the country’s energy needs are well taken care of in spite of the war in West Asia. This comes after Sri Lanka’s Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath urged India’s Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar to ensure that there are no interruptions in the supply chain of energy to Sri Lanka.
LIOC Managing Director K. Raghu, addressing a gathering of management students in Colombo on Saturday, said, "As the Managing Director of Lanka IOC, I just want to tell the people that you are all in safe hands." He further stated that we will maintain fuel supplies and provide energy security to the country, which is very important.
