Fireworks burst and the whole sky resounded with the slogans of Har-Har Mahadev.
On the day, a large number of students, on Wednesday morning, visited the local primary school and showered each other with joy by applying gulal on each other. On the day, the locals performed the traditional folk dance, the Garba, and took out a procession to the temple of Goddess Dola Mata.
On June 5 last year, Sunita along with her companions flew to the International Space Station, but due to technical reasons, her return was delayed for more than nine months. Vishal Panchal, the principal of the primary school, said that an akhand jyoti was lit at the Dola Mata temple on June 27 for Sunita's safe return. The goddess heard their prayers and Sunita has returned home safely. For this, the villagers thanked the mother by taking out a procession.
Sunita's other cousin Dinesh Rawal described her as extraordinary and said that she has the ability to change the world. He said, when she (Sunita) returned, we jumped with joy... I was very happy... Till yesterday, my heart was a little restless... God heard our prayers and brought our Suni back safely... Sunita is not an ordinary person... She will change the world.
