The Xiaomi 18 Pro Max is supposed to come out in Q4 of this year, replacing last year’s 17 Pro Max. Though Xiaomi hasn’t confirmed the details officially yet, a recent leak gives us a peek into what’s rumored about this device. It looks like Xiaomi is crafting the 18 Pro Max with a serious focus on its camera capabilities. Alongside that, the phone is supposed to have a 6.9-inch 2K display and a Snapdragon processor.

A user known as Digital Chat Station shared on Weibo that a big-screened flagship phone with twin 200-megapixel back-facing cameras is currently under testing. Guess what? Earlier leaks suggest that this phone is almost definitely the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max. According to the leak, it'll sport a primary 200-megapixel camera equipped with a huge 1/1.28-inch sensor. This nifty piece of tech reportedly uses next-gen LOFIC technology for better high-dynamic-range pictures and improved performance in dark settings.

According to reports, engineering samples of the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max include a 200-megapixel telephoto camera with a 1/1.56-inch sensor, 3x focal length, and f/2.4 aperture. This telephoto camera is also said to support macro photography. Its lens and sensor assembly structure has also reportedly been completely revamped.

This dual 200-megapixel imaging system would be a significant and notable upgrade over the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max's rear cameras. The current model features a triple Leica-branded camera unit, consisting of a 50-megapixel primary Light Hunter 950L sensor, a 50-megapixel ultrawide shooter, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom.

This is all the information in the new leak, but previous rumors claimed that the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max would feature a 6.9-inch flat display with 2K resolution and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro processor. It is also said to feature a balanced dual-speaker setup and a large X-axis linear motor. Additionally, it is expected to feature a large 8,500mAh battery with 100W fast wired and 50W wireless charging support. This phone can run on HyperOS 4 based on Android 17.

The Xiaomi 18 Pro Max is expected to go official alongside the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 in the fourth quarter of this year.
