Huawei is set to unveil three new high-end 5G smartphones. It has announced the release next week, on July 14, at a flagship event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Apart from being the unveiling of three new flagship 5G devices, it would be the debut international launch of the Pura 90 series as well.
The Pura 90 family of devices was unveiled in China earlier this year and consists of the Pura 90, Pura 90 Pro, and Pura 90 Pro Max. They are coming to international markets. Following are the specs expected in the regular Pura 90:
Starting with the standard model, the Pura 90 is expected to feature a 6.84-inch, 1.5K flat display. This model is expected to feature a 6,500mAh battery and a slim 6.9mm design. The phone is expected to weigh just 203 grams.
The Pura 90 Pro in the series may have a better camera. The Pro model could feature a 6.6-inch display, a 50MP primary camera with a variable aperture ranging from f/1.4 to f/4.0, and a 12.5MP ultra-wide lens. The phone could also feature a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 4x optical zoom.
The top-of-the-line device in the series, the Pura 90 Pro Max, could feature a larger 6.9-inch display and a more advanced camera. The phone is expected to feature a 50MP primary camera, a 40MP ultra-wide lens, and a 200MP periscope telephoto camera.
The device is also expected to support 4x optical zoom and up to 8x optical-quality zoom. The company claims that a specially designed prism structure will allow the phone's telephoto system to capture more light than other flagship phones.
Both Pro models in the series are expected to feature the new Kirin 9030S chipset, which will deliver superior performance in AI-based image processing. These models will also feature a 6,000mAh battery and Kunlun Glass protection for improved durability.
Both models will also support 4x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom for the front camera. They will also feature a 13MP front camera. All devices will run on HarmonyOS 6.1 and will also feature AI-powered photography tools.
