Google has introduced a new feature called Adaptive Audio feature for its Meet users.

With this feature, many audio-related problems of the user will be solved during virtual meetings using Google Meet.

Prior to the implementation of this feature, using Google Meet with multiple laptops and devices in the same room presented audio-related issues.

It will be effortless to provide sound feedback and echo across multiple devices with the Adaptive audio feature.

Intelligent stream management is possible with the Adaptive audio feature. If more than one device is present at the same location, Google Meet will automatically detect it.

Subsequently, Google Meet will synchronize the microphones of devices located in the same location. This will give these devices the ability to have echo-free audio even though they are in the same place.

This new functionality makes it simple to use Meet even when using multiple laptops in a conference room or other shared area.

Actually, the Adaptive audio feature auto-detects the presence of multiple devices with the same location. There will be no need to enable this feature manually.

As soon as Google Meet detects it, the user will start seeing a notification on their screen. The user will get information that "Merged audio" is active on the laptop screen.

The good thing is that if the user wants, he can also disable this feature. This feature is currently being rolled out for Google Workspace customers with Gemini Enterprise, Gemini Business, Gemini Education, and Gemini Education Premium plans.
