Paris Olympics bronze medalist Sarabjot Singh, Army shooter Lakshita, former world championship medallist Akhil Sheoran, and Maharashtra state’s Sakshi Sunil Peddekar were triumphant in their events at the T4 National Selection Trials for rifle and pistol shooters. Sarabjot Singh clinched victory in the men’s 10m air pistol final with 245.9 points. The Army’s Ajendra Singh Chauhan was second with 245.1 points, while world champion Samrat Rana came third with 221.5 points.
Fourth was Kamaljeet Chaudhary of Haryana, fifth Saurabh Chaudhary, sixth Punjab’s Udayveer Sidhu, seventh Rajasthan’s Om Prakash Mitharwal, and eighth the Army’s Pramod. In the women’s 10m air pistol event, Lakshita of the Army won against Surabhi Rao of Haryana by just 0.2 points. Uttar Pradesh’s Mansi Anand clinched third place. ISSF World Cup Final 2025 silver medalist Sanyam took fourth place, fifth place for Haryana’s Muskan Bhanwala, and sixth place for two-time Olympic medallist Manu Bhaker sixth.
In the men's 50m rifle three positions, Uttar Pradesh's Akhil defeated Navy's Neeraj Kumar by 0.2 points. World Championship medalist Aishwarya Pratap Singh Tomar finished third. Olympian Chain Singh (fourth), Nikhil Tanwar (fifth), Goldy Gurjar (sixth), Siddharth Gaur (seventh), and Adrian Karmakar (eighth) followed. In the women's category, Maharashtra's Sakshi defeated Karnataka's Tilottama Sen by 0.4 points. Madhya Pradesh's Ashi Chouksey finished third. Kerala's Vidarsha K Vinod finished fourth; Olympians Anjum Moudgil and Sifat Kaur Samra finished fifth and sixth, respectively. Army's Priya finished seventh and Haryana's Nischal Singh eighth.
