Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Britannia Industries, Varun Berry, has given his resignation from his post. Meanwhile, the recently appointed Rakshit Hargave will take over as MD and CEO.

Berry served as Executive Vice President and MD at Britannia. He was appointed CEO in May following the resignation of Rajneet Kohli in March.

Varun Berry has been working at Britannia for the past 13 years. He joined the biscuit-making company in 2013 as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.

Prior to his tenure at Britannia, Berry worked with PepsiCo's India unit and Hindustan Unilever. Last week, Britannia appointed Birla Opus' Hargrave as its new CEO and executive director.
