Aam Aadmi Party Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha reacted against the charges by Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar calling the latter 'passionate' on Friday. Chadha emphasized that he is 'seriously passionate' concerning matters that hurt Indian interests and the economic interests of the country.

Chadha said that he will continue to raise issues that hurt the country. Chadha said in the Rajya Sabha, "If you had heard my question, you would have known that my question is only about India." The AAP leader made the remarks after the vice president called him obsessed with speaking out on the tariffs announced by Trump.

Earlier on Thursday, Chadha had criticized the 26 percent reciprocal tariffs imposed by the US on India, saying these tariffs would "destroy" the Indian economy. "We offered unwavering loyalty but in return, the Trump administration has imposed Trump tariffs that could ruin the Indian economy," Chadha posted on Instagram.

"We used to listen to this song 'accha sila diya tune mere pyaar ka'... India left no stone unturned to maintain friendship. Even the Union Finance Minister removed a tax called 'Google Tax' to protect the interests of US companies. But what did we get in response?... This will have a huge impact on our companies," he said.

Meanwhile, Congress MPs on Friday protested against the Centre after US President Donald Trump imposed 26 per cent reciprocal tariffs on India. They protested near Makar Dwar in the Parliament complex.
