Husqvarna has announced a worldwide recall for its two popular motorcycles, the Svartpilen 401 and Vitpilen 401. The company will update the ECU (Engine Control Unit) software on these motorcycles to address the issue of engine stalling. The recall is similar to the recent one for the KTM 390.
The company said that during the quality checks, it was found that on some occasions, the engine may stall at low RPM. While such cases have been few, the company immediately began a recall to safeguard riders.
According to Husqvarna, the new software will not only fix the issue but also enhance the bike's performance. The update will improve low-end torque and engine smoothness, providing a better riding experience.
The company will send personalized letters to affected customers informing them. Customers can visit their nearest authorized Husqvarna dealership for a free ECU (Engine Control Unit) software update. Customers wishing to check whether their bike is included in the recall can view the full dealership list in the 'Service' section on the official Husqvarna Mobility website.
