Google announced the appointment of Preeti Lobana as the new Country Manager and Vice President for India on Monday. She will replace Sanjay Gupta. Sanjay Gupta has recently taken up a high position as President of the Asia Pacific region at Google.
In a release, Google said that as the new Country Manager and Vice President for India, Lobana will lead the charter to shape Google's strategy to bring the transformative power of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to all customers and foster innovation.
The release states that Lobana brings over three decades of experience leading from the front in the technology and financial industries and, therefore, commands unparalleled insight into the emerging Indian landscape. His career has been marked by relentless attention to business transformation, operational excellence, and customer experience.
Most recently, he served as the Vice President at Google, gTech-Process, Partners, Publisher Operations, Ads Content, and Quality Operations.
