MUMBAI — Veteran Bollywood actress Preity Zinta took to social media on Friday to share a reflective moment with fans as she prepares for her upcoming theatrical project, Vibe.

Posting a candid selfie on Instagram sporting chunky black sunglasses paired with an oversized dark t-shirt, the actress offered a direct glimpse into her personal process ahead of diving into the high-energy production.

"A moment to hold, a moment to reflect, a moment to take in life, as I dive into a brand new Vibe. Ting !" Zinta captioned the post, invoking her signature catchphrase.

Inside Kunal Kemmu's Action-Comedy 'Vibe'

Written and directed by actor-filmmaker Kunal Kemmu, Vibe marks the maiden feature production under the Drongo Films banner, established by Kemmu alongside producer Chirag Nihalani in collaboration with Amazon MGM Studios. Following Kemmu’s successful directorial debut with Madgaon Express, the feature combines high-stakes action with buddy-comedy tropes.

The narrative follows two lifelong friends whose routine daily lives suddenly descend into an unpredictable, high-octane adventure, testing both their survival instincts and their bond. Alongside Zinta and Kemmu, the primary ensemble features Laapataa Ladies star Sparsh Shrivastava and newcomer Vanshika Dhir. The film is scheduled to hit theaters worldwide on September 18, 2026.

A Broadening Career Slate

Vibe comes as part of a busy operational period for Zinta, who recently completed work on director Rajkumar Santoshi's period drama Batwara 1947.

Co-written and directed by Santoshi under the Aamir Khan Productions banner, the historical drama is adapted from Asghar Wajahat's acclaimed play Jis Lahore Nai Vekhya, O Jamya E Nai. Set against the turbulent partition of Punjab in Lahore, the film stars Sunny Deol, Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal, and Karan Deol, representing Zinta’s return to narrative cinema following an extended hiatus.
