Triumph has hinted at the release of four new bikes that will be available from October 6, 2026. Among the motorcycles that are being released are the classic style roadster, which can possibly be the Bonneville 400. With this motorcycle, the iconic classic styling of the brand could be offered in an affordable segment.
After introducing the updated version of the Bonneville T100 in early 2026 and the continuous sightings of test motorcycles from the retro segment, Triumph will now introduce a new model that will be part of the 400 series. The retro motorcycle has a sculpted fuel tank, round headlamps, and round mirrors. It also comes with a flat bench seat and a chrome finished rear grab rail.
The classic appearance of the motorcycle is complemented with wire spoke wheels, which is another characteristic of the bike. Telescopic forks fitted with gaiters, dual rear shock absorbers, and low mounted peashooter exhaust sets the retro motorcycle apart from other Triumph roadsters. The overall design and styling of this motorcycle have similarities with the Bonneville family.
Some of the characteristics of the previous models of the Bonneville 400 include the curved tank, brushed metal engine styling, wide single-piece seat, and dual rear shock absorbers. All of these elements point to a bike designed for a comfortable riding position and style.
The twin-shock setup will require modifications to the rear and swingarm, as opposed to the monoshock suspension found on the Speed 400. A new subframe will also help with the flat seat setup.
The Bonneville coming to India is likely to be powered by a Triumph 349cc engine, while the international version is expected to feature a 398cc engine. In India, it will likely compete with bikes like the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and Honda CB350.
