The Innova Hycross Facelift will be unveiled in India by Toyota on November 25th. This will definitely be a big step up for the model as it was launched in 2022. There will definitely be updates in terms of the exterior and interior features. These updates are believed to include updates from the recently updated model in Indonesia.
The facelifted model, as seen on the test vehicles spotted earlier, is believed to have a revised front fascia with a modified grille design and slimmer headlamps. Moreover, some revisions will be made on the alloy wheel, bumper, and tail lamp designs. Some interior features from the recent Indonesian-spec model will definitely be retained in the Indian model. The new model in Indonesia is known as Kijang Innova Zenix.
The premium variants of the Indonesian model come equipped with a 12.3-inch infotainment screen that replaced the former 10.1-inch infotainment screen. Also, the hybrid version of the Indonesian model has a 12.3-inch digital driver display while the gasoline version has a 7-inch display.
The current India-spec Innova Hycross features a 10.1-inch touchscreen and analog instrument dials with a smaller center screen. The facelift is expected to feature a larger touchscreen and digital driver display, similar to the Indonesian model. Furthermore, the seat upholstery may be changed, the infotainment software may be updated, and interior color options may also be available.
The facelift is expected to retain the same 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol strong hybrid powertrain. However, the engine will be modified to support a higher ethanol blend, allowing it to run on E30 or higher blends. Toyota had showcased an ethanol-compatible Innova Hycross Hybrid prototype in 2024.
It used a 2.0-litre Atkinson cyclic petrol engine with an electric motor, similar to the standard strong hybrid version. This prototype was designed to run on petrol mixed with more than 20% ethanol. The Toyota Innova Hycross Facelift could be launched for Rs 20-30 lakh (ex-showroom).
