After the end of the production run of Kawasaki Z250 in India, there have not been any sub-middleweight Z bikes available in India. Although the Ninja 300 and Versys 300 are available in India, Kawasaki India has added another variant into the line-up of 350cc motorcycles. That motorcycle, known as Kawasaki Z300, is officially launched in India.

The Kawasaki Z300, which is built on the Ninja 300, is officially unveiled through the company's social media platforms. Booking of the Kawasaki Z300 is expected to start on October 19th, while the official launch of the Z300 is expected on October 20th, 2026. Ahead of the official launch, Kawasaki India has officially unveiled its new Z300 multi-cylinder naked motorcycle.

The closest competitor to the Z300 in terms of multi-cylinder engines would be the Aprilia Tuono 457, although the KTM 390 Duke and TVS Apahe RR 310 would compete with the Z300. A promotional video by Kawasaki introduces the Kawasaki Z300 in two colors, namely green and black. The Kawasaki Z300 is built on the Sugomi design philosophy like the Z900 and Ninja 300.

The bike features an aggressive supernaked design language, a muscular fuel tank, triple-element LED headlights, and several other features.

The wheels appear to be shared with the Ninja 300, as is the braking hardware, which includes single disc setups on both sides. The aggressive tank shrouds extend downward, creating a striking appearance. The turn indicators are still halogen units, and it also features RSU telescopic front forks.

The Ninja 300's semi-digital instrument cluster has been replaced with a modern TFT instrument cluster equipped with connected features and navigation.

Powering the upcoming Kawasaki Z300 will be the same 296cc parallel twin-cylinder engine with a DOHC 4v/cylinder head and liquid-cooling. This high-revving engine in the Ninja 300 produces 39bhp and 26.1Nm of torque and comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The current ex-showroom price of the Ninja 300 is ₹3.34 lakh, and the Z300 is expected to be priced slightly lower than this.
