Various car brands have cars sold in India. For instance, Maruti sells the Brezza in the Compact SUV category. News reports have indicated that the company plans to give the car a facelift. How soon can the launch happen? Which modifications can it bring to the Indian market?

News reports indicate that Maruti is planning on giving its Brezza, which is a Compact SUV, a facelift. No official announcement has been made by the company yet.

Modifications will include alterations to the front grille and bumper, besides engine changes and boot space changes. The CNG variant could have an underbody CNG tank, reducing boot space.

Currently, the engine offered in the Brezza car is the 1.5-liter engine. A modification in the engine would see it getting the 1.5-liter turbo or the 1.2-liter engine in the facelifted version.

Should the facelifted Brezza be available in India, the introduction of a new engine would reduce taxes, thus cutting the prices of the cars. No launch dates have been provided officially, but the facelift will soon be available in the coming months in India.

Maruti has the Brezza available in India priced between ₹8.26 lakh and ₹13.01 lakh (Ex-showroom), depending on modifications.
